Memorial Day Weekend

Lots of lounging, knitting, and movie watching at home this weekend. It's actually very relaxing.

The rain and thunderstorms came in making fantastic indoor weather. There was a little boredom, but overall it was a rest we all needed.

Here too is a pic of Mom's hydrangea. It's the most beautiful shade of purple I've seen.

Que Sera Progress

Que Sera is moving along. Seen here with left front complete and Right Front in progress. To meet my self imposed deadline I need to finish the right front and backs today. Here's hoping.

This yarn (Universal Yarns Cotton Supreme) is very lovely to knit with. Very soft and pleasing to the touch.

I've also been reading Ellie's blog (formerly of Lime N Violet Podcast fame). She has started a 10kH project. Ten Thousand Hours of focus study/practice to become a master of something. This is an extremely interesting concept. So I'm tossing it around.. What do you think? I'm no graphic artist or scent expert, but I would consider finding something I can be passionate about whether that's knitting or a desire to learn something new... Hmmmmm...

I have a blog? Really?

Thought I had forgotten about it did ya? No, just every time I would look at it, I was in some bummed out downer mood and I just didn't want to send that out there to the world. Still having those downer moods, but almost feel like writing it here would prolong it even more. So....no downer blogs for me.

Here's what I've been working on. It's really a very nice yarn and the pattern is extremely interesting. The lace pattern is easily memorized and it moves along quickly as long as I don't have to tink back because I messed up a spot. It's the QUE SERA sweater from Knitty.com.

But amazingly in the midst of working on this sweater I find myself wanting to start several other projects. So this is a practice in monogamous knitting for me.
